Hello. My name is Jason and I run a Phoenix based Zombie Survival Blog http://dontgetbit.wordpress.com. I just found your podcast and am currently listening to episode 1 as I type this and I have to say... In NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM AM I THE JASON IN THIS PODCAST! I don't want anyone thinking I am the one giving this horrible advice! The idea of going to the military armory that he describes, which I am familiar with, could quite possibly be the worst idea for him to promote for multiple reasons. Going to a "Panic Point", a place where people THINK they would be safe like churches, military bases or hospitals, is a terrible idea. Especially since he was saying that his wife and 2 kids are going to be with him! First, the military will be there already and if he thinks they are just going to let him walk in there and take a shotgun and some handguns is... well... INCONCEIVABLE! Second, tens of thousands of other people will be heading there as well and with a Zombie Outbreak at hand some of them trying to get in will no doubt be infected and before you know it... panic and zombies will be overrunning the base killing him, his wife and his 2 kids. But all of that will be moot because the military will NOT let anyone onto the base in the first place for their own security reasons and anyone caught trying to enter the base will be shot on sight... which is posted every 10 feet along the perimeter of the base.
I'm not even going to dive into his comments about killing gangsters when they try to get in. It's suicide! You want a few bad-mofos on your team that aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Plus they will have had experience with guns, combat and know their way around the black market. All 3 of those will be invaluable in the weeks and months following the ZA.
Whew... Ok, I feel better. That advice was horrible and dangerous. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS JASON GUY! HIS ADVICE WILL GET YOU KILLED!
Otherwise I love the podcast and I will put a link to you up on my blog this afternoon. The best advice I can give you... Don't... Get... Bit!
